Things haven't been smooth sailing around these here parts, but that doesn't mean that there haven't been some things that have made me feel !!! this week.
This cheeky watering can, bought for the bargain price of $12.99. Just looking at him makes me smile. I adore everything frog.
That there's someone else in the house who loves Harriet the Spy as much as her mama does. Plus, her penmanship is already better than mine.
That the weather outside has been so glorious that the girls forget about things like this:

A packed suitcase and a weekend away, visiting a dear friend and being able to cuddle her newborn son, Butterbaby. I'm going to unplug this weekend and cherish the time, because long walks with a friend who knows my cold, black heart and loves me anyway? And the smell of a delicious baby? Definitely !!!

I don't mean to rain on your parade, or anything, but this particular baby came without the baby smell. Oh, he has that delicious milkbreath, but his head kind of smells like grownup head. And his feet? Honestly rather teenage boy-ish. Disappointing. ADORABLE and grinning constantly. But not yummy smelling.
